Learn more about our cone-beam computed tomography (CT) and Medit scanner below.
Dental Cone-Beam CT
Our dentists use cone-beam imaging to take 3D images of the underlying structures in your jaws and face. We often use this dental technology to diagnose oral conditions, educate patients, plan treatment, and follow up after procedures.
Since cone-beam imaging is minimally invasive, it’s great if you have a high gag reflex or dental anxiety. Offering cone-beam imaging is just one of the many ways we look out for our patients.
Medit Intraoral Scanner
In the past, dentists would take impressions by having you bite down on a tray filled with pink putty. Not only would this trigger the patient’s gag reflex, but there was never a guarantee that the impressions would be usable.
At Gasior Family Dental, we don’t use pink impression putty. Instead, we use the Medit intraoral camera to take highly precise impressions of your teeth. The Medit handpiece has a slim design that’s minimally invasive. This helps improve patient comfort and reduces the likelihood of triggering the gag reflex.
Considering Invisalign braces? Our dentists use Medit to help you visualize what your smile will look like after Invisalign. Using the Medit scanner also ensures that your aligners fit well. This means fewer repeat visits and less discomfort during Invisalign treatment. Our team uses Medit scans for planning Invisalign, crowns, dental implants, and more.
